Partner Toolkits

 

In 2011, a small entrepreneurial group was formed within the company to take PayPal’s Send Money product into the financial institutions market segment.  Because of my success marketing PayPal into other new vertical markets, I was selected to lead the marketing for this new venture. This meant creating the tools to sell into financial institutions, as well as developing marketing point of sale assets for use in promoting the service once available.    

 

For our partners, I created a Send Money for Financial Institutions Toolkit. It was designed to contain everything needed to promote and grow adoption of their branded service from tabletop displays and brochures to tweets and banner ads.

Here is the Usage Guide that shows the scope of content in the kit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Biggest Toolkit Challenge:  Needing to build in an absurd amount of flexibility into the assets because we partnered with a wide variety of institutions with varying marketing expertise. And, we allowed each institution to name the service to fit into their portfolio.

 

Biggest Toolkit Success: Walking into the Corporate America Family Credit Union in Santa Clara and seeing the co-branded signage and brochures on display.

 

I also managed the marketing relationship with Discover Financial Services, who partnered with us to introduce Money Messenger powered by PayPal to their customers.
